Im unsure about two things and need some help.
Im getting a New RC cars(electric) and want to upgrade the motor, How do they work I see ones that say 15t, 19t 12t and doudle modified. What does all that mean and how do I know which one is faster?
Second is How do I compare top speed it says 20-30 but is that to its scale or is that actual MPH?

less turns less resistance, faster motor turns, more speed.  it wraps to cool the engine, more wraps(tripple double ECT) is better.

If this is your first electric car and you are racing, get to the point that you can blow away the stock class then move to a faster motor.  at least at the races.  also, gearing comes in big time.

first thing get rid of those tires, second the speed control sucks

So how do I get parts that will fit? whats a good online place to buy from? How will I know if they will fit?

oh and the battery probably sucks, Got a brand name?  how much did you pay?

if you paid over 100 bucks for that i think you may have gotten ripped off

I dont think you can change out the motor in that car or the speed control, it is all sodered it,  Itll be a good toy but wont do much other wise. 

looked it up, You will melt the speed control by replacing the motor,  YOu will spend more money trying to impove the car to be competitive,  the suspension sucks, breaks easy. 

Sorry man, might want to start looking for a used Associated TC3 or 4. or A Losi car.  Even traxxas is better than those.   thats not much better than the one you can buy at Toy city

That is all I was getting it for just a toy. Ince I get ready Im going to get a gas buggy or a better electric car. Its funny casue when you read the box it says upgradable parts for better performance.

you can upgrade it but not very easily.  and it might ruin it. you may just have to buy the parts right from the manufature

agree, Nitro cars are so much fun! Though when i flipped my old Nitro GT I broke the motor, so I sold it.  Im thinking about getting a nitro TC. but we will see

Go nitro off road, tons of fun. I have a Kyosho ST-R truggy.

I had a Associated RC10-GT but There are more road courses around here and I like the electric off roaders anyways, more competitive

I've got an HPI nitro RS4-2 (I think that's right... it's been a while) that I'm ready to get rid of if you're interested.  It's just sitting in a closet in my parent's house.  Not running though.  AFAIK there's nothing really wrong with it, carb may just be dirty or the fuel I was using was too old.

might be intrested in taking a look at it, depends on the price, ive been spending money on my bike like crazy
