Does anyone have a computer pic or scan of an advertisment for the suzuki gs 500 e from about the 1992 - 1994 era?  It shows a boyfriend and girlfriend washing a blue gs 500.  It was in the full line brochure for suzuki.  i think the year was 1994 United States.  I would absolutely love to have a copy, scan, whatever :)  I was 14 years old at that time (27 now) and I wanted to own a gs500 one day because that pic was so cool.  I remember going to the local suzuki dealer and I picked out a bike I would want to own when older.  I made sure I would remember the name of the bike - a Suzuki katana 1100.  Well because of that advertisement and seeing a katana at the dealership, I now own a katana 1100 to go with my 97 suzuki gs 500.  Isn't America Great?  Any help would be $ appreciated $

Yeah its been around for years but it originates from the dragon area
The first place it showed up was the gas station at deals gap in the early 90's and people just keep retaking the shot using different bikes
Be sure to cut your gas off if your try it ;)

yeah, I looked all over http://www.suzukicycles.org/All-Suzuki/all_suzuki_models.html  and thought I'd find it for sure, but didn't.
I really think it was in the 1993 Suzuki full line of sportbikes brochure from the dealer.
Its a really cool pic though, if you like the girls washing bikes thang.

On that site , they list the GS as having 52hp up until the 97s , which are listed at 47hp .

Is this correct , and if so what changes were made to actually lose horsepower ??

Reddog787

I think they just gather information on the bikes and put it together.  Therefore, one magazine or shop may have got 47 hp on their dyno while another mag or shop got 52 hp.  Since they did not use the same dyno and calibrate it the same way before testing, error is introduced.  Also the same year bike can produce different dyno numbers.  There are just too many factors that go into testing.  My opinion is that there is no difference in horsepower between the different gs models especially noticeable, however some people disagree.
