you wont belive how I made it ,, it was with a spray can !!! I went to a paint seller with the little pice that goes between the 2 rear plastic under the sasy bar and they made me the color, exact match. urethane paint. and gave a spray can jejeje, i was afraid to use a CAN in my bike but you can judge the result ..

You're gonna need about 1000000000000 coats of clearcoat, or that paint will bubble off the first time you accidentally spill gas on it at the gas station. Looks decent though, good job.

Hang out there, we may flame, but we don't hate.

My attitude is in serious need of readjustment, and I'm ok with that.

I did a spray can job on my bike too, and although it isn't as good as professional it does look pretty nice.  Anyway one word of advice:  Gas really will eat the paint, and if you clear coat it it will eat the clear coat.  And it happens VERY FAST.  Like faster than you can wipe it off it will mess it up.  I was trying to be very careful, but when I took the gas nozzle out of the machine, it had some gas left in the tip, and as I pointed it down at the gas tank it sloshed out on the top, ruining the clear coat in a 3" area.  So my advice would be this:  When you fuel up take some paper towels or napkins or something and hold them over the tip of the fuel nozzle until you get it right down to the tank.  And, when you remove the nozzle from the tank, get your napkins out again and put them back over the tip before you get it over the paint.  Seriously, a single drip will mar the paint.  But if you are REALLY careful when fueling up you can avoid that.

Not if its urethane put into a can by a autopaint jobber like he described.  It's the same thing you'd spray with a gun premixed and injected into a high quality rattle can.  A good way to go for small jobs if you don't have a compressor.

i hate to be a duck...but...see this:

thats not your bike. your bike is nothing like that. nowhere close. not even slightly.

the hayabusa logo on a gs 500 is like putting calling a propeller driven biplane a jet fighter.

im not insulting the GS, i own one, but i call it what it is, and dont pretend its something its not.

take it off. paint over it, do something. all your doing is insulting yourself, your bike, and the busa.

Chris24

but other than that, it honestly looks REALLY GOOD!

im suprised to see a spray can job look that clear and smooth. im honestly impressed!

(see, im not a total duck! i just had to be honest and upfront in my last post.)

I know!!!!

, in fact I am not a fan to the busa, I just like the simbol, ass i said this is for a limited time only , when i do the real paint job i will put on the factory OEM decals. not the big ones from my year 1990 i will put on the ones that have the triangle in the tank . no busa logo no twin cam , no transformer logo .. those are for fun now !! also I dont like very much the word suzuki on my bike now is to small and the letters are like too thin and too separated...

Besides eating up the paint, there's no other negative affect right?  I spilled a bit of gas on my tank and the paint isn't in great shape.  I'd like to confirm that it shouldn't be damaging to the tank in any other way...

Tank, looks good.  Just goes to show, with a little patience, even a spray can job can look good.
