Hi everybody, I'm new to this forum. I'm just wondering if anyone's tried these Ebay integrated taillights on your GS500f?

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/GS500F-SMOKE-Integrated-LED-Tail-light-Signals-04-07_W0QQitemZ300131146962QQihZ020QQcategoryZ35580QQrdZ1QQssPageNameZWD6VQQcmdZViewItem

Several questions/concerns:

1) Are the brake lights bright enough and visible during the day?
2) Turn signals bright enough?
3) ...and why would this seller advertise an integrated taillight with turn signals on a GS500f with the stock signals still on the bike? (I suppose that's a question for the seller.)

Anyway, any feedback would be greatly appreciated!

He just didn't want to get a picture of every bike he has these lights for. I understand. I personally don't have these lights so I can't comment, but I do know people who have them and they are satisfied to pleased.

Excellent vids, guys. Thanks for the input. It looks like it lights up the license plate quite well, too. FrankieG, I noticed in your youtube vid that you said you lose some visibility in the sun. Does that concern you or are the LED's bright enough when applying brakes, even with the blazing sun coming down on your clear tails?

i like the integrated blinkers but are not safety. some friends of mine with different bikes some of them have integrated blinkers and the truth is that in direct sunlight they you can,t see it at all the yellow color in sunlight is less than the red (pressing the breake) just looks a little confused to the driver in the back .. at nigth looks cool but at short distance in hayway at long distance you only see a red light blinking to yellow. I tell you this bc i ran an the tail of my friends and that is what I see. so I went to clear led taillight and clear small cateye led turnsignals.

no offense to jim's F it looks super cool but for me maybe keep the separated turnsignals too !!

That's exactly what I was thinking, Dax. For safety reasons, I'll probably keep the turn signals on the side. Maybe go with the Buell turn signals. Here in California, everyone's always in a rush and I wouldn't want someone to rear-end me from not seeing my turn signals. I do like the clear smoke, integrated look though.

you could use the integrated blinkers but you need to keep the separated turnsignals . or just put the led tailligth without the integrated blinkers

sorry to tell you that the led are much brighter than both the stock brake light and stock signal lights.  the contrast from going to solid red to one side going bright yellow if very eye catching

are those the clearalternatives leds? i was thinking of going with their smoked led cluster but i wasn't sure how bright it would be. who are the brake and runing lights with the led clusters?

frankieG

my experience with clear alternatives has been very positive.  i got a clear lense for my 89 and a smoked one for my 04.  both were easy installs and both were much brighter than stock.  just wire in the new lights to where the old ones were...too easy with elec tape or quick connects.

yeah but thats for the integrated boards, they have the ones with just the taillight and it has two round 45led clusters that u just plug in the socket. i'm just wondering if those ones work jsut as well as the led boards.

yeah so do i, but its not worth the trouble if I'm not gonna use the signals on it.

the integrated tailight work like a charm I use the smoked version and the result is the same.
