lol I put a bunch of holes in the back of my GS can too...

I started off with 2 ... but it was TERRIBLE... 4 was better, but still terrible... ended up doing 8 holes, and I like the way it sounds

I won't be able to do anything for another couple of weeks.. I'm kinda tight on cash at the moment...

I'm swapping to a Yohi pipe from an 89 FZR600 this weekend! :thumb:  The mid pipe from that one looks like I can swap it out no problem to the factoy head/collector just below the footpegs.  I'm coming off of a Devil bikes slip on... System #2(#3 if you count the factory one)...
Grind the pegs down with asphault!

The stock cans on R6 bikes are pretty quiet.  (and freakin big).

+1...  They're WAAAAY too quiet.  I can't wait to get a new can on my R6.  And the finish of the can is out of place on the bike too.

i recived my can today !! WOW that thing is big. he he

i took about 30 minuts looking the bike and the can !!! figuring out how tha hell I will put that jet tubine in my bike!!

its easy I need to bend a little the end of the midpipe on r6 exhaust , i will cut the pipe about 5 inches after the Y and expand the end a little to fit in r6 midpipe . i will let the lenght of the r6 midpipe (no cut) so I will need something like an extention to fit on the rear peg . if I use the pipe with any extension it will be to close to the front peg.

you will be surprised how GOOD it looks on your bike. trust me. I've got 2005 GSXR 600 can fitted on my bike! and it's the same size as R6 can(I think). It looks teffific in my opinion!
the only con is that was harder to install because it was BOLT-ON.
anyway, here are the pictures:  http://bikepics.com/members/kmlkrk/04gs500/
let me know what you think, do you like it?
cheers

yea !!!! i got my r6 can installed !!! was a f%$king pain in the ass its a super big and almost doeas not fit !! i dont like the idea of having the can so close to the front peg so y put the bolt on about 3 or 4 inches in the back of the original and use a hayabusa lower link as an extention from the back peg the the bolt on .  it look big in the bike !! but know the bike have an agressive look also one of the thing i dont like on the GS500 is the very thin look on the back of the bike !! with this can when you see the back of the bike now is like a big bike !!!!....

I was at 5 different muffler shop and no one wants to do that job. at the end i found someone the accept the job . and at half time he say to me if he would know how difficult is he would not accept but he start the job so he have to finish !!!

yeah, do you have got some sound clips? is there any difference in sound? cause my GSXR can does not produce any sort of superb sound.
actually I have drilled a couple of tiny holes in the back of it and it sounds kinda funny on idle, but it sounds cool when I'm slowing down before intersection  :icon_twisted: there is nice popping coming out of the exhaust
in the future I'd like to install BOLT-ON YOSHIMURA TRS can for 2005 GSXR (I have a flange so it's just a matter of minutes to put it on :) )
I'm just broke at the moment  and the can is around 250-280 shipped, so I'll have to wait :)
cheers
