no, I wasn't joking.  Roommate didn't want real dogs because if you keep them inside you have to be home at a certain time to let them out, or they stay in a kennel all day and if they are outside, unless you let them roam free or have a fenced in yard then they are in a small lot....so I got prairie dogs. They stay inside, in a cage I made myself.  they are kinda like ferrets, you put food out and they eat and drink when they are hungry. no having to rush home so spot doesn't put a spot on the carpet.
