Ever have any issues with fueling your bikes, mass spillage, overflow, etc?

I'm planning a trip there later this summer and was wondering what to expect.

I have never looked forward to fueling after my first road trip there in a car where the jack@$$ tried to round up to the even dollar from xx.03 and ended up spilling a half gallon or so on the side of my vehicle.

Ah, you are familiar with the State's policy mandating professional fuelers. :icon_rolleyes:   Not a problem; generally the attendant will hand over the pump nozzle to motorcyclists.

What route and destination?

I thought that was just in New Jersey....

Mmm..

I knew that they did that in Jersey as I have bought gas there in my car. I never thought about what they do when you are on a bike

i would just pop it open and stay on the bike.. Make em earn their $  :icon_twisted:

I went through NJ on my bike and thy handed me the pump.  The lady didn't want to get gas on my crotch, she even said so

They always hand me the pump. Which is good for them...'cause I'd be mighty pissed if they got gas everywhere.

I will probably be taking US 12 from Lolo, MT to Walla Walla, WA and then either I 84 or WA 14 to the Gresham area...

FYI, automotive gas stations are scarce on WA 14 eastern leg.  WA 14 from 97 (Stonehenge, Maryhill museum) to Vancouver is the preferred scenic route.

Thanks for the info, Gisser.  That's the route I will plan on taking then.

Wow, you guys have pump attendants?  :o haven't seen one of those for years, in fact we are heading away from the pay-kiosk shop to totally unmanned, plastic in - PIN - fill up.  :cookoo:

On my recent French - Spanish trip most gas stations had that facility.

In Cricket the testicular guard, or Box, was introduced in 1874. The helmet was introduced in 1974. Is there a message??

Just finishing day 1 of the trip to OR on my new toy- a GS of a little different type (R1150GS).  It was stifling hot in the afternoon hours

I am hoping for some cooler temps tomorrow!
