unless gstwin.com is copyrighted you can use it...i am unsure why the delay but i assume no one would have a problem.  although it would be very good manners to wait for a reply

Maybe you can PM Zephler to ask him to edit the image? I've got photoshop but no skills so I can't really do it. Cafepress sounds good, at least for the first run, and I think it's pretty easy to upload an image so once we do that we can just sit back and order from the site.

whats the shirt gonna cost on cafepress?  i looked in their moto section an it looks like most of their printed tees are around 15-20 plus shipping.  i have shirts printed locally for around 10 all the time.

Ok, so cafepress.com looks easy enough to design a t-shirt.  However, I don't have photoshop in order to make the background transparent.  So, it creates a big black box around the logo.  As far as the logo I used, it is the one I quoted above.  I like it because I have an E, so there.  :)  Using cafepress.com means you F people can design your own shirts!  :flipoff: :icon_lol:

I can go to a local screen printer, but for the amount of shirts we're lookin to order, it would be about twelve+ dollars per shirt plus shipping.  Also, I'd have to order extra shirts for future orders, I'd have to collect the money in advance, and I'd have to charge more to cover all my costs and shipping.  It looks like cafe press is the easiest choice.

Anyone willing to get the pics altered to work on a black background?  If not, I'll design the shirts as described above, and we'll just have a black background to deal with.  As far as permission...as long as we're not profiting from the shirt, I think John would appreciate the free publicity his board members are generating, and if not I'll answer to it.

So what now?

John does in fact own the site and the name is copyrighted. However, its fair to say that since he approved of the idea when I was putting it together that he'd have no problem, as long as its on a volunteer basis and not for profit. I'd say you're good to go.

cafepress shirts are good. the printing isnt the best and can fade. HOWEVER, the beauty of cafepress is that once someone does the artwork and uploads it, putting it on tshirts, mugs, mouse pads, everything under the sun, they're done. anyone who wants one simply orders one and cafepress makes them to order. no missed print runs or anything else. Set the price to cover cafepress cost only and there's no issue about profit. shirts would be around $14-$16 that way.

I think we should stick with something more along this line. I think the others look good, but too busy for a tee shirt. Plus simpler = cheaper!

All we are is the sum of our experiences.

Can someone please make this on a transparent background?

1 with white lines
1 with black lines

Same with this one

Need 1 in white with transparent background and 1 Black with transparent background

Also on the GStwin.com can it be made 2" tall?

I like this design but I would want permission from the person that made it before I used it.

Well, whatever comes of this, this is my image, and I have it in SUPER HIGH RES, and it is still in PSD format so I can make whatever changes to it, no problem.

I made the image with the black background so I could post it here. If I'd posted it with the transparent background, you wouldnt see anything.

The way I figure it is we do TWO shirts. Not just one with TWO bikes.

My reason: Unless the Bikes are captured in the same photo, no amount of editing will make it look any good. It will always look "slightly off".

Now, in a few weeks, there's a ride in the SF Bay area (see the meet&greet). I will take TONS of fotos then, and see what I come up wth. However, I still think it should be two shirts. One for E and one for F.

In any case, so many people are chiming in, I think this should really happen. With cafepress, we can set up a price markup. If we add, say $2 or $3 to each shirt, we can send the profit to whomever pays for this site. I think that is EXTREMELY important. If it doesnt help pay for the site (even for a month), I dont want my image used, and I dont want a shirt. Otherwise I'll buy a few. I'd even buy a mug and boxers.

So, whoever is actually going to make this happen, if you want my image, I'm happy to make any changes necessary. Just PM me.

If nobody is ACTUALLY in charge on this, I'm happy to do it. I've done a ton of cafepress shirts in the past.

Reason I was asking for the transparent background was to order 1 of each online from cafepress then take photos of what it would actually look like on a shirt.  Wanted to try one in black and one in white.

Jazerr, sounds like you have the experience and abilities to get the job done, as long as you don't mind taking it on.  I think that image should be on the "E" shirt, then you could wait til you have more images to do an "F" shirt.  Since I'm impatient, I'd say you should do the "E" shirt right away.

On the subject of markup/donations, AFAIK the site needs no donations.  Ideally, you could talk to John, the Administrator for final word on this, but he doesn't get to stop in here to often.  As a second option, you could check with the Mods to see if they think John needs any money for the site.  But I think GStwin.com gets enough money from general donations and stickers to keep running, in which case there should be no markup

I was talking to a coworker just now and he reminded me that with cafepress, they have underpants. He thought it'd be funny to have "E" printed on the front of a thong, and "F" printed in bikini bottoms....naked and faired...had a good laugh.

PM me an email address and I'll send you the hi-res black and the hi-res-white.

Okay, so...since Pablo's like a god here and stuff, and he said its most likely okay as long as there's no profit...

I've made the first run of shirts over at cafepress. There are only white/light colors right now. Dark colors and F models will come as soon as I can a) figure out the Dark color config on cafepress, and b)get GOOD pictures of an F model. If you have some hi-res ones of YOUR F, email me at fluglehorn @ gmail DOT com.

THe first run has the E model on the front, and on the back it reads:

Front:

Back:

I will be adding some that say "I ride Naked." If you've got other snarky bits, I'll add them as well. Just PM me.
