Ok beer if I have to buy it New Castle brown ale, Leinenkugels  cream ale, Red stripe. Otherwise I have a buddy who brews his own mmmmmmmmm belgian triple bock that'll knock your socks off excellent stuff.

Liqour I am pretty basic Wellers and Coke. for my Bourbon Glenlivet for my scotch, I prefer single malts over blended scotch. Sipping Tequila=Tres Generaciones, For margaritas Cuervo gold. I do like the Captain Morgan Tattoo rum with a Dr. Pepper occasionally.

I have drank 151 straight, I had an abcessed tooth and I was killing the pain by soaking it in high proof liqour before swallowing

They have to be because their vodka is crap.  As a bartender i see everyone come in and order it.  not because its a good vodka but thats what they have been tricked into believing.   Its not even made the proper way.    If you want a good vodka go with kettle one , stolii or VOX.  These are all made the true way.

Kettle one is actually still made in copper stills by hand actually using potatoes.

Stoli is still around because its the russians table vodka.  ITs what started the vodka craze here in the us back in the 80's.  (its not tippy top shelf but its better then most.)

VOX  is a good vodka to start off with they they filter 5 times to get all the impurities out of it...(Grey goose only does theirs 3 times after they chemically produce it.)

Oh, I know. I buy it because people know it. I've had Stoli Gold, VOX, Kettle One, Ciroc, Belvedere, and many others before. If I were a big vodka drinker, I'd go with one of those.

I remember when little john came out with a rap song that had Patron in it.      People who knew what it was enjoyed drinking it because it was good.   When the song came out you had people asking for it  not even knowing it was tequila.... Its a shame how marketing plays such a huge factor on our culture.

one of our new bartenders who they hired awhile ago  claimed he had been doing it for awhile.  We all found out real fast that he didnt know anything.  My favorite part was when a customer asked for a shot of grey goose.  He turned to them and asked what was in it.   The expression on their face was priceless. .needles to say he didnt last long

I'd drink glenfiddich or black label on the rocks all day. I get very little ill effects from most scotch, but cannot stomach rum or cognac. Wifey, exact opposite.
Scotch, tequila, vodka and gin in that order. Only thing about Vodka, I sometimes get hit late, like 20-45 mins late and I may have chugged (I have on a couple occassions when I didn't see or mix the drink) too many thinking its watered down. Then I either sit still and do not move for fear of throwing up or its too late and out it comes.
But scotch, never a problem. On the rocks, plain, with soda, with 7 up, with twist of lemon, with water, with chaser, with sour (especially the cheap stuff works great as a sour) with collins syrup - whatever.
Nothing like good scotch ...

The base usually has it or can get it in 2 days, I just don't like going out there, the current state of the Air Force really pisses me off

Meanwhile the best liqour store outside of base  has 3 types of authentic russian vodka but only single malt scotch's
