very irritating discovery, luckily i wasnt on the way to work

went to take a ride after dinner, got it onto the street off the barely paved/gravel side street to discover my front tire was flat...

i remember running over something on the way in yesterday, apparently it was glass

i have a sneaking suspicion it was one of my neighbors that doesnt like since its loud in the am ( i clock in at 6 am so theyre all asleep) and i live on OSU's campus

how do i get it fixed? is it possible to be plugged? what does a safe but inexpensive(relatively speaking) front tire cost. id get two new ones but the rear isnew from the dealer when i bought it a month ago.

really bummed about this. really killed getting a 3 dollar an hour raise today.

thanks all,

cam

Make sure first it's damaged and someone didn't just open the air valve out of spite - do this by sponging water/dish soap over the tire to see if any bubbles are coming from a puncture ( of course it must have air in it - borrow a bicycle pump ).

They say you shouldn't repair mc tires as in plugs or fix-a-flat, so I won't say what i would do if it was mine ...

yea its def glas, theres a half inch shard that i found really close to the center tread

I plugged my rear, and ran it for about 9K miles, no problems yet. As long as it's near the center, I say go for it. Others will tell you otherwise. It's a personal decision. If you just want a cheap, decent tire, can't beat OEM bridgestone bt-45s

Hang out there, we may flame, but we don't hate.

My attitude is in serious need of readjustment, and I'm ok with that.
