Rattlesnake Lake when it gets low. It used to be a town before 1913. Then the city dambed the Cedar river that is above and the water sipped through the gravel left by a receding glacier thousands of years ago and flooded the town. They say that one can go down with a scuba gear and see the remnants of the town.

wow, ever done it then?

scuba diving? No, never.  I do swim across it very often though.
I lvie a mile from it. Normaly, all the trees are under the water surface. It is kinda fun to know where some of the located and be able to sit on it in the middle of the lake.
