Hi guys...

I was riding to the office the other day, when the GS just stopped giving power on me. Starts ups nicely, warms up quickly and idles fine once warm, but has no pull. Also when revving up, it will hesitate and/or stall, if I yank the throttle - if I do it slowly, it revs up. Right spark plug seems to be black, while the left looks like it's running really lean. Changing them hasn't helped the matter.

About 1kkm  (800 miles or so) ago I rebuilt the carbs and did a valve job; since then (before this) the bike has run just fine. One guy suggested that I might have blown a piston ring (or a few) on other cylinder... ideas?

Cheers,

Ow!!.....I cut myself on a razor  :cookoo:

Could be a piston ring...............could be a single messed up float or clogged jet.......I accidentally knocked some dirt into a jet once when I was cleaning my carbs and clogged it.........Try the simplest solution first, taking the carbs off and checking em out and re-synching em will take a lot less time than replacing a piston ring :thumb:
