heres a generic Question that has been running through my head since i joined.    Who  is paying the costs of upkeep and domain name and how much is it??  I know its not an important question nor have i ever seen it asked.  But its just one of those things that have been digging at the back of my brain.   :dunno_white:

john owns and pays for the site. He accepts modest donations from members to help defray costs. Also, buying a manual through Amazon assists in supporting the site.  :thumb:

There should also be an option to purchase the updated manual for those of us with 2004+ F models. I'm aware that it's not available on Amazon in the US yet, but hopefully someone will stay on top of this. I've been putting off buying a manual for awhile now, but would jump on it if I knew it would help the site a little.

Hosting is probably his biggest actual cost.  I'm an amateur web designer and for the websites I've done that's always the biggest cost.  I don't know what kind of traffic the site gets but I can't imagine the hosting costs more than $100-$200 annually.  Of course, if the site gets a lot of traffic than it can get expensive quickly.

Time is most likely the biggest "cost" since it takes a lot of hours to construct sites like this.

Thanks for reminding me. Added one Jackson to the pile.

Great forum, good advice, and guaranteed a good bunch to ride with.

We had to change hosts about a year ago cuz we kept getting kicked due to so much traffic.... We seem to be doing ok of late!  :kiss3:
