You know...Wrecent has a point.  There are several people that think every member that complains about this board is expendable, and that this board needs no one individual to continue to thrive.

I believe this is irresponsible and ignorant thinking to believe such a preposterous notion.  What wrecent is doing, by deleting his threads, is demonstrating how big the holes can get in the information if you lose even ONE individual.  For example, the mere fact that Kerry comes around and posts so much less often has had a huge impact on the board.  Add to that the issue of over-zealous moderators, and you have a board that is on the fast track to intellectual death.  Some say that we shouldn't complain about the mods, and if we don't like it we should leave.  That's a wonderful thought until YOU are the one that needs a question asked, but there is no one left to answer it.

The moderators are acting ridiculous, especially with the blind defense of one-another, and ignorant (or kiss-ass) board members are going to support them in to oblivion. 

You know, Pres. Bush sucks.  He is an idiot, and his policy is ignorance.  But I guess I shouldn't complain...if I don't like it I should leave huh?  Imagine what the US would be without the individuals that disagree with this administration...I shudder to think.

There is one mod (who shall remain nameless) that is at the CENTER of this, and just about every other huge debate, who has never, that I've noticed, made a helpful or informative post, and who is a constant focal point for debate and controversy.  When it's a board member that acts that way, they are banned.  If it's a mod, they are spotless and unaccountable. 

Keep it up...kill the board... 

I guess what some of you don't understand is that your principles of free-speech don't apply here.  Yes, we live in America, where your free-speech is protected, but not on this private forum.

Now that you know that, you may adjust your posting accordingly.  You may continue to be helpful (which I appreciate, BP, your suggestions will make this a better board), you may continue the comraderie and support of riding and wrenching on the GS, which is the reason why we're all here.  Can we concentrate on that?  Please?

OK,  ANY TIME you put your ideas down in writing, that writing becomes 'intellectual property' , your very own intellectual property.  This is not a 1st amendment issue.  Even if you post 'intellectual property' in a 'private' forum, it is still your intellectual property, unless the usage agreement states otherwise.  The usage agreement for this forum does not describe any claim to intellectual property on the forums behalf.

In the interest of protecting their rights I would strive to find a middle ground and accomodate their choice.  Something that has not been done here.

What's funny to me about that comment, is that I went back to read through a certain mods posts, I went through 15 pages (out of 373 total pages) and 300 posts and found only 2 that were helpful, gs-related posts.  Keep defending our leaders, it makes you look smart.    btw, that amounts to .67% of that mods posts as being helpful...pretty bad for someone 'running the board'.  Nearly ALL of the other posts were quips and smilies.  Talk about idiotic banter...

OK- Non-helpful and offensive posts are two different things. Secondly, that is one person on this board that you find non-helpful, as opposed to the 90% of idiotic posts ranging from "Ball-Hair" to Wilson Rants.
Pandy has made much great contribution to this board, and I have never seen her say anything abbraisive or malicious.
It's really pathetic how much you people are letting your opinion of one person make you leave this whole board and waste so much time starting your own forum so that you can sanction calling each other genital names.
