People around here usually either get RaceTech, Progressive, or SonicSprings

I am 5'8" and 190.I have progressive springs and 15w oil. It's great but the rear becomes to soft.So I am upgrading to a Katana 750 shock.I ordered an SV but it hasn't showed up yet. When you buy oil, don't buy Suzuki brand.Buy a quality brand.Mine is already turning gray.

Just bite the bullet and get either Progressives or have Sonic figure out what the correct rate would be and run 15wt oil.

I'm 6'6" and 185 w/o leathers and the Progressives are too soft for hard riding/track duty, but work fine for commuting, once paired with a real shock as ben noted above.

I'm 5'10" and about 195lbs with gear on. I'm running Sonic Springs .90 with the factory weight oil.  I love it! Way better than OE Springs. It's a pretty simple mod too.    :thumb:

The Progressive site also has a spring rate calculator.

I also suggest looking at: www.peterverdonedesigns.com/introduction.htm

I know the feeling I'm 6'2 220 naked,  still running stock springs for now.  Getting on the front brake hard is not fun for my balls.

I have my original springs. They had very little time on them. I personally never felt they were too, too soft.
