gs550 spotted....

Took the toyota to pickup the wife from work tonight. Man, I love that truck. Anyway, stopped for gas on the way home and spotted a gs550 at the pumps. Guy said it had 13,000 miles on it. Looked a little rough, but the chrome wasn't bad off. Talked for a minute or so. He fired it up, and it obviousely needed the carbs cleaned/sync'd. It was a little rough on idle, a little high too. When he took off, it rev'd so fast, much faster than a gs500. Silky smooth above 2k rpm or so.

One of those would make a really nice cafe project.

Just wanted to post about the 550.

The motorcycle is no longer the hobby, the skill has become the hobby.

Power does not compare to skill.  What good is power without the skill to use it?

sorry scratch, I should have specified. it was just the older bike, gs550. the four banger.
