I just picked up a 95 Katana 600 for $200 BUCKS!!!. I'm so excited, I cant wait till I get working on it. its a clean title and the bike runs. The bike needs some work but overall it was a steal. I'll try to get pictures up as soon as possible.

lol you saw it on craigslist too? I didnt lowball at all....he lowballed himself. He was a really cool dude. He's the one who told me, "just give me 200" and I couldnt disagree. Its such an awesome deal.

I don't know the mechanical condition of the bike but if i were you I'd still immediately replace some 'critical' parts which may fail while you are riding and cause crash/injury (like the chain, brake lines, tires, etc). That what freaks me out about old bikes - a failed part may cost you your life. After all you don't know what that bike went through. So better safe than sorry, right?

Happy riding!

Looks like it'll be a fun bike when you get it running the way you want. Keep us updated as I occasionally see one of those for sale around here, well in the SE Missouri area at least. From what I hear they've got plenty of power but are kinda heavy, but I've not rode one either.
