So... I'm trying to get my 05 GS registered in CA. While at the DMV the other day the inspector and I were trying to find the emissions label for the bike. I know it wont have a CA emissions label as it is not a CA bike, however we were unable to even find a federal label. I called Suzuki Customer Support and they told me that it "Will be on the bike somewhere" and "we cannot re-issue the label" Now, I bought the bike with less than 1k miles on it, and all the stickers are present, except the emissions one it seems..... where in the world is it on you guys bikes? Am I just overlooking it?

According to the DMV home office and ARB this is totally unimportant as I am a non-resident and the bike was registered in a previous state to me. However, the local DMV station insists that I must have an emissions label as the bike has less than 7500 miles on it.

Go to a different DMV... crap like that seems to be a judgment call by the individual office IMO.  I know here, dealing with the DMV alot, different towns have different peeves as to what the will and will not send through.
Grind the pegs down with asphault!

what they said.
actually the bike should have the label, whether its a fed or Ca label. but it should also not be an issue to register.

Sadly for whatever reason the bike does not have the label. I have no idea why it doesn't. So hopefully i can find a DMV that will just check the "None" box and give me my plates.

check the VIN plate. I think the fed stuff usually shows up on the VIN plate on newer bikes. Just an idea.

Mine has none, but it's an 89 and I don't think they had them then.
PICS are GONE never TO return.

On the 05 frame I have, there is a label for "Noise Emission" on the left side after the widest part of the frame.
Common sense in not very common.

It has the highway safety information on the vin plate, but unfortunatly not the emissions stuff. For whatever reason, mine just doesnt have it.

that happens here too, but they impound your bike if they catch you doing it.

One guy on 600rr.net was pissed about getting a ticket from a cop whom he recognized from as a regular at the local canyon. Cop rides an R1 with track plastics, no lights,e tc...thats messed up.
