unlikely the judge will let you off due to clerical errors. more likely they'll laugh at you, unless you have a lawyer, but then it'll cost you more than if you'd paid the ticket (including insurance increases). I dont know where you're at but a)there are lots of online help sites for getting out of tickets, b) in Ca they have Trial By Declaration (written trial). you submit a written testimony, cop does same and judge reads them to decide verdict. if you lose that, you can ask for new trial and take a second chance at the cop not showing.

I beat 2 of 4 that way.

I just had my hearing for my speeding ticket on the GS.

I lost   :icon_mrgreen:

Instead of pointing out the officers mistake (makes it worse) Your best bet is to try and plead guilty to a lesser offense. like disobeying a traffic sign  :thumb:

Yeah, at least down here the DA will often do that as long as you are willing to pay an increased fine.  I've done that with a few 20+ overs, and pled to 14 over because 14 over is no points............

Only point out an officers mistake if it was a procedural or legal violation and you have the case law in your hand, because if the judge has to come down to believing you or the cop, the cop wins.

Call an attorney in your area and ask for advice.  Taking advice from people that aren't A) attorneys and B) in your jurisdiction is like taking dance lessons from your butcher.

Jake:  I don't know how it is up in MO, but around here attorneys get pretty tired of dispensing 'free' advice over the phone and usually give very poor advice through that media as they aren't at all attentive to the issue.  Just my experience.
