I the gas tank to get it painted.  Now that is done, I put everything back together.  The problem I'm having is that as soon as I put gas in the tank, the airbox filled with gas! :o.  Does anyone have an idea what is causing this?

Improperly routed hoses or stuck floats :thumb:

I installed the petcock from a 2004 on my bike('94) is the hose routing the same?

Did you hook it to the wrong port on the carb, remember that the one the top of the rack is a vent to air, and the one on the bottom is where the fuel goes in. Other wise you have stuck floats.

You probably have gas in the crank case now also, check your oil to see if it smells like gas

I checked the hose routing and every hose is correct.  I will check the left carb since I took the air filter out and I saw gas dripping from that carb only.

I went to check the floats today but first I try firering the engine and you guest it! it worked fine.  The problem wasn't  a float or  the fuel lines being routed wrong, the bike was just floadded.  This happened because I had the petcok on PRI, when I put gas in the tank.  That was 2 days ago, I just let the bike olone and today after firering the engine I just had to make some idle adjustments :thumb:

Thanks for the help!
