I will be setting up a ride in the near future, as far as the date goes it is TBD, the wheater will play the biggest factor. I have three possible runs ranging from short and easy to long and hard( ;))  1) Latiago canyon  >medium length and a bit hard and spots< 2) Palos Verdes Dr. East  >short and easy but still fun< 3)Angelas Crest Highway >never rode this yet but I know its long and from what I heard it gets a but hard at spots<. So If any Socalers wanna go, give me the best date and month for you and which run you would like to do. This will be Noob friendly as far as speed goes.

when you say Latigo, you're not ONLY doing latigo, are you? thats only 10 miles long...there are a dozen more canyons next to it, as well as Mulholland. I assume you're going to do a loop of some sort. If you want a recommeded loop or two I can help. I used to take The_Good_Guy and a few others around there and we'd normally get 100-120 miles of canyons in before heading home.

Hey did you guys ride last weekend??? Weather was bad here. I am game for a ride but I have made a plan to head up the hwy 33 for that motorcycle rally on the 6th and 7th. So, if you get a group going I can meet up after those days. I have 300 hours of vacation I have to start using so I could be up for anytime. Hey I wanted to let you know I saw an ad in FRICTION ZONE magazine for a motorcycle repair workshop in Hawthorne here is the link www.gearheadworkshop.com it is a 5 week deal I am going to check into it more. There is nothing a mechanic can screw up that I cant screw up myself :thumb:

Dan we ended up calling it off cause noghtrider when to bed toolate and me and foobar were not sure how the road was going to be like. Hey pablo the roads I posted are only parts of the runs, The PV run will also include cruising the coast and stoping off at some of the cliff point for a good view, the Malibu run will include lunch at the rock store if we are all hungry and then also head back down kanan dune but we can figure out which route to take, the ACH run im not sure cause I have never been their before so that may just be head up the freeway run the ACH then back down the freeway. but everyone has a say in this not just me so what ever anyone picks. If someone has a good run post it and we can all vote.

if you do ACh dont start at the bottom of ACH, start at the bottom of Big Tujunga (I think its Oro Grande where it meets Foothill/sunland blvds). its about 9 miles west/north on the 210 from ACH and a MUCH better route. You can take that up to where it ends at Angeles Forest, take a left to Upper Big Tujunga, turn Right (that puts you on "9 mile" which ends at ACH, then left to continue up ACH. this way you miss the traffic/speed traps/slower speed limits on the bottom of ACH. Big T is such a great ride...

Head past Newcombs to the closure (another 10 miles or so, just past the tunnels).
On the way back take the same way but take Angeles Forest right out to Palmdale. thats a nice long stretch too. stop at the tree to rest then head back. its the best route up there.

Hey ya Mach1, I'll taking a 5 weekend motorcycle maintenance class down in your area  at Eaglerider Motorcycle starting Oct 20. If any one wants to do an early morning ride on sundays I am down for that. I'll probably keep my bike down there during the 5 weekends unless we get rain then I'll bring my truck down. Cool take it easy everyone :thumb:

I also flaked on the last one, but both of my bikes are running/good to go now.

Your bike is doing fine, new tires are ordered, forks are here and getting installed tonight, and she is flipping the stock bar setup for a set of clip-ons.  Likes it a lot.
