Hi all,

The question goes to those who have a windshield, have you noticed a difference in fuel consumption?

Chuck

Naked to full Airtech fairing added 3-4 mpg for me.  I don't know what just a windshield would do.

I have a 98 E and added a tiny flyscreen. There was no measurable difference in mileage.

Oh, you wanted full fairing replies ? Sorry. :)

No he was talking windshield,  was'nt he?  anyway  I think it all depends on the size? so size does matter,..
me have a small wind will probably improve the mileage

it is simple wind resistance. also for comfort, i have driven cb and gs's with and with out a screen and the screen is always better in performance.it is the style that is up to the individual

this is the kind of windshield I'm thinking of, I'm already convinced towards buying it for the comfort but was just wondering if it would also affect the mileage as I would be altering the aerodinamics of the bike.

thanks for the replies ;)

its a nice design.
As it smooths the airflow over the rider it should help reduce aerodynamic drag.

So you might get better fuel economy, definately wont get worse.
