Quote from: seshadri_srinathI thought it looks ugly in pics...

Well, it's beautiful in person.  The detail, design, craftsmanship is amazing... and it sure looks like it would be hoot to scoot.

but still nothing I'll fork out 10K for

Actually, I think they were more than that... and neither would I.  But I wouldn't buy a 911 twin turbo either, but I still ogle.

and honestly I dont even think if someone bought me these and dropped it off at my door... I'd want to keep it.

I'll take the eyesore off of your hands... no charge... no wait, you have to buy me a pizza for my trouble.

The MH is supposed to habe many manchined intricate and trick components - mainly brackets and hangers that are a work of art .... But the last time I checked "Brackets dont get you home..." Well Fine they may but machined and delicate looking brackets are worse than clunky big ugly ones... so you get my drift...
Cool.

"Brackets dont get you home..."
Actually, a Duc got me home once when I ran out of gas in the middle of an 18 mile stretch of farmland.
This guy pulls up on a sweet new looking Ducati. I had never known of that brand before that day. I am from North Florida ;)
He gave me a half of quart of gas, in an oil can I found.
I was really impressed because none of my ricers had a cool little kickstand for raising the gas tank up. Making it is easier to get at the petcock.
On his tombstone were the words "I told you I was sick!"

with those bikes it's not about whether they can get you home or not.  though they probably can.  Just because they have intricatly machined parts and are a work of art as well as a working machine, doesn't mean they aren't properly working machines.

Maybe I'm just a young whipper-snapper but I actually like the looks of the Kawasaki ZRX 1200R better, and I can pick up one of those used for less than $6000. Which is still more than twice what I paid for my truck  :x

Finally someone who thinks like me... Though I like the 99-02 SV for looks... The tank prop thing is no big deal... You want gas... I can drain off gas from the GS in 10 seconds... and no prop needed. I can also drain from any Jap bike (almost) in about the same time. I like functional elegance. No sense in having elegantly machined brackets just for the sake of having elegantly machined brackets. I like the 89's clip on setup... I think its elegant but it does have its advantages... It feels comfy and right, it also feels narrow and your keys dont get stuck under the handle bar... Yea redemming qualities... However its fragile, hard to find and expensive, and has some fitment issues with grips etc... Answer... Make one that gives you the best of both... Anyway... elegance is subjective... I like things that look and are strong and will stand up to a lot of abuse.
Cool.

That's typical. I would spend more on something I like and would value more.

IMO the MH900 is the ugliest new bike I've seen. I think a 'boat tail' AMF Harley Sportster looks better, but let's see what year was that...? '76?

I'd rather have the standard Bonnieville, but as far uninspiring goes, nothing made today is substandard enough to inspire any original modifications other than an exhaust pipe, which everybody does. Why would I want to be like everybody else? Of course, the more you try to change, the more you stay the same...what song was that?
