Try a Wal-Mart parking lot in the middle of the night.  it's usually deserted and pretty well lit.
Get a 14t sprocket.   Shortly after I put one on my GS,  I WAY over-revved it coming out from a stop sign and hit 12 o'clock and almost lost it.  After that point, I was kinda obsessed with learning to do them better.   Ohhh yeah and I learned a little better throttle control too

Ohhh, yeah and be ready to screw your fairings up.  shaZam! HAPPENS, especially when your doing shaZam! like that.

lol yeh the front end doesnt look like it'll  be stable when it comes down..
i live in orlnado the walmarts are pakced 24-7, i plan on going naked so mine as welllearn now.. i have a 15 tooth now..ive got it to pop up in second a few times.

any large parking lots which close or at least empty after a set time?

second gear i have can oly get  iine up in first  an di have a 15t. my 14 should arrive this week so we will sdee. Im a sucker for wheelies not sure why but i am.

How many miles do you have ?

Do you have proper gear from head to toe ?

Do you have a cellphone and a buddy to call EMS when you wad it up ?

I'm over in tampa, there are a couple other gs freaks close by iirc.

We should ride sometime, i'll bring video so we can relive the follies.

FACT: A 5 mph oopsie can crush your: Arm, leg, helmet and subsequent face.

oo well tampa isnt far at all..there there some nice roads in between orlando and tampa..i have about 2200 miles, proper equipment. i dont know anybody with a gs around here, all my buddies have new 600's and 1000's
but lets meet up some time

yesterday I ordered 14t and 15t front sprockets. I can't wait until I install them. I'll start with 15t cause I don't want to get in trouble to quickly + fairings are too expensive...
I have a question: does GS pop up the weel withouth using clutch when front sprocket is 14t?? I mean to do wheelie using throttle only? Is that possible? (I think NOT but want to make sure)

in first itr will up a hill...... jsut use the clutch DONT DUMP IT.. dump it slowly...im going to try it in 2nd gear cause the bike is more stableat 25 rather then 10

Uh, take off the fairings and add case guards before you start doing the wheelies.

borrow a dirt bike, practice  and you will crash that a few times.

i can wheelie a dirt bike, thats a lot differnt from a gs....

I'd come up to Orlando although I think others would be more likely to come if we met midway somewhere.  I don't really know of any good parking lots around here that would be better than anywhere else.  There's one road in particular here that is long, straight, newly paved and usually deserted though.

yeh there tons of roads like that where i am..but im not realy concerned about wheelies eventho that will be fun..we need to do some twisties or something...ill ask about some roads around lakeland or something
