Has anyone retrofitted a hot bodies megaphone exhaust on their bike. I'm going to order one on fri but I wanted to know how loud they are on a twin. A few reveiws have put them at 108db but thats on a 4cyl and they didn't specify whether or not that was with the baffle. I think they look absolutley sick but i don't want it to be toooo loud.

I was thinking of doing something like this. :thumb: give it a shot but first take off the muffler and see how your bike sounds cause its efing loud with out the can.

I have the Coyote SSi aluminium,.
nothing I can screw out to make it louder but its exactly right. does not irritate at cruising speed.
looks great too.

There was a guy on here looking at making one w/ a VW Bug pipe of some type... I am VERY interested in getting something like this on my GS  :thumb:

I think in order to do it you would need to fab a small muffler box under the motor then short megaphones out the side  :thumb:

This is  a pic of a GSXR1000 at work.... It sounds AWESOME!

Why Use a muffler at all, just go drag pipes

I already know what it sounds like with "drag pipes" and I can tell you it sucks during a 40 mile commute. I have a gixxer 1000 Ti pipe but the weld keeps breaking -flux, mig, tig...etc. I wanna use the hotbodies because it's short, has a removable baffle, and it's a clamp on. I've just been hearing about how loud they are. I'm going to get one regardless but i wanted to get some kind of heads up.

OK just for shits and giggles I went down to pepboys today a got a chrome exhaust tip( slash cut) and installed just under my right footpeg, No baffles or restrictor Just tighten two screws and its on. HOLY shaZam! THAT THING IS LOUD  :icon_twisted:. I like it I will use the old baffle from my slip-on cut it down and weld it inside the tipp and see how that works, But it does look hot look at the gixx above and remove the bottom tip and thats it.
