Just wanted to float the idea of having an Aussie meetup. I know not all aussies here could make it, but would any one be interested?

Just want thoughts & ideas at the moment. 

I'm up for something, as long as it's cheap, and close by (I'm lazy you see).

not as far as I know but I guess just a day ride although I don't ride in April (statistically the most dangerous month to ride, because of easter) but I should be up for one after that  

Now im off the 'L's i can try to keep up , I'm in the UK from end May to end June, so i'm in if its before or after (but dont wait for me)

I know this has become a 'gunna' thread, I was thinking this morning on the way to work that it would be good once the weather got warmer.

I'm thinking around late September, early October.

Also I would like to hear peoples ideas on rides, a meet up thats some where central would be good.

I know of a good lap around the Bathurst region thats around 250 - 300 k's long, but it would require a night or two stay in Bathurst for out of towners.

Also the ride isn't just for GS's other bikes are more than welcome. 

Any other thoughts?

Ok, I'm pretty well tied up till the end of november.

If you guys are interested in heading west, I'll meet you at Lithgow. From there we'll head towards mudgee, turning off at Ilford, through Sofala to Bathurst. Lunch, then a visit to the Motor racing Museum, where they currently have one of Wayne Gardners GP bikes, and a lap of three of Mount Panorama. Back to Lithgow Via Tarana, end of ride. That would be about 250k's from Lithgow to Lithgow.

Let me know what you's think of that idea, it was just a quick idea that I had during lunch.

Meet at maccas lithgow at 10
Ride to Bathurst via Ilford and Sofala
lunch
visit motor racing museum and do a few laps of  Mt Panorama

Edit: Dang I'm out... got something else on! 

I'm going to have to postpone the ride. I've got to have a wisdom tooth out on the 30th November, so I don't think that I'll be right to ride on that Sunday.

I'll have a look at the 16th and see if anythings on if that dates still ok. 

No problem, I cant ride for 5 weeks, i did my left knee an injury on saturday canyoning. Thank christ for automatic cars! dont have any sick leave left.
