Are you talking about throttle body?
TB looks like a carb, but on the inside there are injectors. If you don't know pull the filter and look down into the system and let us know.

OK if it is Throttle body your answer is maybe it depends on how much timing you are putting into it and why you are doing it. Is there an issue or are you looking for a little more top end? If there is an issue then it could all be wacky and who knows what will happen :o. If you are looking for more power then just bump it up and should be good. The timing is set by where the distributor is set so turning it turns static and base the computer wont know to compensate. all speed density systems I have come across work this way. Mass air system are a different animal.

Mark your distributor before you turn it so you have a referance.

+1,  too many people get to excited to try things and then can't go back cause they don't know where back is.

WOW haha that comment made me fell like I was stupid .  Ive worked on cars for 4 years profesionally and since I was ten at home givving me 22 years experience. So why was I asking this question an idiot at a shop I used to work at told me this carb was controled by the cars computer kinda like a TBI but it was still a carb. I also never worked on this car before nor did I have Mitchell on demand to give me a hand. And getting back is easy if you know how to time a car using a timing gun. The spec is 6 degrees and Im going up to 7 or 8 so getting back is a piece of cake just drop it back down to 6. :thumb:

If you're going back to factory specs, no problem. If you're doing some mods, find a  very good performance forum.Izoozoo's can be fussy.
