I just put my bile back together after sitting for 5 months.

I drained gas and carbs.

at vey slight throttle I get horrid popping and some backfiring, it also spits out a blue flame when doing this. it clears up with more throttle twist. it runs like crap when its doing all the popping but pretty good everywhere else.

this morning I opened up the carbs and cleaned them out though they looked to have no build up. it is still popping pretty bad.

any ideas what I should do? just trying to decipher if its carb tuning or from sitting for awhile. I would think its justneeding tuning since I made sure and cleaned them out.

just wanted to check with you guys.
Twisty stuff is for me

Sounds like a choke problem to me, or maybe a stuck float.  Definately a problem of too much gas.

Check to see if the choke plungers are fully seated with the choke handle in the off position.

If that doesn't fix it, check your float heights.  If you still have a vacuum petcock it could mask a stuck float as the fuel flow will shut off with the engine, even though the float is stuck open.
Every zero you add to the tolerance adds a zero to the price.

If the product "fails" will the product liability insurance pay for the "failure" until it turns 18?
