I'd like to replace the left and right handle switches on my 90 gs500.  (Really only need to replace the left one but I like the look of the newer style switches (2001 and latter, I think)  Does anyone know if they are a direct replacement for the older style?

Only thing that looks like it might be different is the wiring, most likely in the plug. If you can get one with the male and female plug you could use a shop manual and work it out pretty easily.
