it's been so long since ive got on here...for those of you that dont remember me...long story short.....blew my gs motor oooh about a year ago  then got a brand new sv650, blew that motor twice. no more sv.  so my gs hasnt worked for a year but the motor is in the shop now and i should get it back in the next few weeks. here' s what the gs looks like now .... ghetto i know  but it doesnt matter cause its a stunt bike

If your going to stunt a bike you really need to be treating it like a motocross bike, i.e servicing it every so many hours or intensive use. Motocross bikes take huge punishment and only hold up due to the strict and comprehensive maintenance plan. A full motor strip down regularly is what it takes if your going to stunt occasionally and still maintain the life of the engine and bike. Stunt teams treat it like a sport and look after there bikes religiously just to make sure they run for the hour or two that they put on a performance.

That obviously applies to everyone but the Purple Helmets of course. Theyre too busy making crazy "props" out of old steel box section for them to drive over, through or "wheel" down the road in on their little 2 smoker scooters!

Purple Helmets rule!

Every zero you add to the tolerance adds a zero to the price.

If the product "fails" will the product liability insurance pay for the "failure" until it turns 18?

ya the sv blew twice cause i was stunting it...i know the sv is a horrible bike to stunt cause it is v-twin. i didn't plan on stunting it when i got it but i couldn't resist cause it has so much torque. ya, it's expensive...i'm in so much debt cause of my bikes...and i don't even have the sv anymore but i'm still paying on it....sucks. sucks real bad. and yes i know it is only my fault.

How is a V-twin any worse than other engine type when it comes to stunting ?

I've seen a lot of Ducati monsters wheelied for miles by professionals , I guess they add more oil to prevent starvation and go at it

Maybe it has something to do with the rider  :dunno_white:

That SV pickup sucks big time, even TL's have better pickups and those are easier to modify. But TL needs to spit the cases and dismantle the whole motor before it can be done
Also when the bike is in real high wheelie, the rear cylinder is almoust pointing down, so when oil gets to the rear cam cover, it has no way to get back to the sump. when wheelie is long the sump oil level gets lower and lower.

just some stuff i pulled off stuntlife.com . i was reading and everyone says that the sv just has a horrible oil pickup. so idk!

Wink wink

hey, come on. thats not very nice. cant it just be the bikes fault? maybe it was just "the rider"....but we'll never know...

it may be that you didnt have a lot of oil in there, it may be the pickup, or it could be a combination of things.  I know a few guys that stunt SV650's so I'll ask them a little bit.  and I dont think the rear cylinder points any way but UP,  its a 90 degree V twin,  so riding a balance point wheelie, odds are you just dont have enough oil in the case.   the GS seems to have an ok pickup, but it should be more to the rear of the motor in my opinion.
looking for a new vehicle again.

I'm just stirring.

I just don't understand the whole stunting thing and wanting to ride a bike in a way that's going to increase your odds of falling off.  :cookoo: But if thats what you want to do, go right ahead.  :thumb:

Then again I'm just a boring old fart who's bike is set up for commuting, scratching in curvy bits and the odd 500km days ride.
