Went  for a short (<200 mile) tour on the gs this past weekend. Met a fella with a "I pedaled 100 miles and all I got was this lowsy t-shirt!" and a passion for the gs. I was getting my fix of caffeine and brittish bike mags in Borders when then fella sat down. Talked for a while (he saw my jacket) and he said he just sold his gs, loved it and missed it, even after purchasing a 05 sv. Cool guy for an old fella ;)

Rode down around Ybor City and the cruise ship terminals just to see the yankees running around. Then it was on to Clearwater beach and parts near by. It was foggy early or maybe it was seaspray. The engine purred most of the time, but I can tell its time for a carburetor sync again, filter cleaning, and valve adjustment. It's just not as smooth as it could be.

There were quite a few bikes out once the skies cleared. A couple of ducatis were posing at starbucks, couple of bmw's were immitating wall art in Ybor, and of course the harleys were all tough as nails (candy painted, chromed, polished, and leaking oil nails mind you) were scattered at every watering hole.

Since the camera isn't acting up again I took a few cheesy shots by the bay. You'll notice  I still haven't fashioned a oiler yet, but I'm working on it. The timing chain/whatever is getting a little noisier once the engine is plenty warm at redlights. Guess it'll die sometime in the next 20,000 miles ;). Oh, and watch out for seagulls on lightpoles. That's all I've got to say about that.

"Ybor City" would indicate to this old Florida boy that bay would be on the west side of the Sunshine State....Florida (as if "Clearwater" wasn't enough of a clue).

Nice shots!  :thumb:

Damn, those pics look good.  Maybe I should evacuate this place for a couple of weeks.  Hmm....
Every zero you add to the tolerance adds a zero to the price.

If the product "fails" will the product liability insurance pay for the "failure" until it turns 18?

These mirrors are neither DOT nor made for motorcycles. They're plastic, mounted with rubber grommets, and cheap. I like them, but would recommend mounting any bar end mirror  at least 1-2" HIGHER than directly from the bar end.

yes Ybor (pronounced  E- bore)  is right around tampa.  Glad to see you got out while the weather was good.  People are still recovering from seeing snow over here on the east side of the state.    Yea i had some mirrors like that on mine  didnt work to well ... the wind played havoc with them.  HAd to break down and buy some decent ones.
