I just read this too, god damn f%$k.

This was one of the stories i followed for my application to the RAF for the current affairs work we had to do. The day she arrived back in the country after staying away for her saftey there was an assassination attempt in which they tried to car bomb the bus she was traveling on, for her saftey they used a true to life human shield, an inner crowd behind the security personal made up of trusted people who would act as a buffer if someone tried to attack, which they did and many were killed. Its a shame that so many people believed in her and gave their lives to protect the cause she was working for yet in the end they still got her. The problem in the world is there is more money to be made from chaos than there is peace. Chaos wins because everything is driven by money.

This is a tragety and a disaster. I do not believe for a moment that this was not govenment sponsored.  Bush can do nothing because of his lame duck status and illegal and unjust war in Iraq.  We will now see government crack down and a military dictatorship.  Another bush foreign policy failure. We can only hope that the democrats take office in 08 and the us policy shifts from Iraq to doing what is right for a change

I read somewhere that we now have more oil reserves than we ever thought and there is no oil shortage and impending doom - someone isn't telling the truth. Now i do believe that there is plenty oil after a few more large oil fields are discovered, plus all the untapped oil at the pole.

I also believed that the oil belonged to the Iraqi people, until they fired upon us. Then all bets are off. We are now free to take all the damn oil we want. It was their oil, they want to kill each other, we'll give them guns in excange for anything of equal value ...  you want to kill us, then we go to a all out war, and winner takes all the oil in the territory that we have just won from you.
And I want 1 tanker full of premium unleaded per mexican at the time of crossing ... OK fine 5 gallons.

OK let me put this another way ...
US hunting for Bin Laden. US is taking (Pakisthan president and general who took power in a coup in 1997) Pervez Musharraff's help. US is pushing Musharraff to hold elections and turn it back into a democracy.
Musharraff is letting Bin Laden roam free in the mountains of Pakisthan. AKA, Pakisthan is playing both sides.
Elections were scheduled for Jan 2008 due to US pressure. He cannot even contest really, Benazir has the most likely chance of winning but both the front runners will not be playing both sides. That makes Musharraff the biggest benefactor of the assassination and Al Qaida as the most likely assassins under Musharraff's direction. To put it another way, we'll never catch Al Qaida or Bin laden and we are going to spend several years wasting our military there. We will also not get any oil from there or get russian oil through afganisthan via pipe line.
