riding a motorcycle is the best thing anyone can experience. I believe its better than sex. the feel when riding your GS will last forever. It something everyone should experience. You feel so free and not a care in the world. all your burdens are lifted off of you while riding. hell i sure know it. I don't think of anything when riding. And even when i crush (a panic stop on a 125 cc kawasaki) i was thrown off my bike and made a rolling dismount onto my back. and it was the very first time in 17 years that i really got a good look up in the sky and notice how beautiful it really is. and when you crash and live to tell the story you can always tell your friends. "hey, i fought with death and i kicked his ass! so F-U on getting your promotion."

and when you drop your bike and theres traffic behind you and theres no one around you to help you pick up your bike. you try to lift it yourself and found that you just lifted it back upright you start to wondering what you can do under pressure.

thats what i feel about riding a motorcycle. What do you guys think?

Domindart

Nice.  I agree.  I dont know if the feeling can contend with sex but its a great feeling when riding.  I just started riding and I can agree, it is very liberating. You think about nothing and really get one -on -one with the experience..

My 2001 GS500 was totalled Nov 4 2008
Now own 2003 SV1000 and love it!

Riding is a great feeling. Gaining some skill and meeting new folks is fun too. The first few times you get the wave from other motorcyclists was the coolest for me. After more experience the wife came along, and she got the wave. It was all new again.

I do have a nagging want for a sv650 now, but that 'step up' bug seems typical from what I've read. The gs does such a great job of doing what you expect it to do, and forgiving mistakes it's just a blast. Some of the folks you ride with are all about the latest tech, or just chrome. Obviously the gs doesn't care about either, and just wants to go play !

Yes riding the gs is a great thing.  I remember the first time i saw the wave. Didnt fully understand it thought it was just a jeep thing.  Remember the first time i went for a long ride and how peacfull it was.  I remember the first time i found this website and thought "great now i can start upgrading my bike without any problems"
But as far as the sex thing goes :cookoo:  I think you are a little off in that area.  Everyone remembers their first time.  It might not have lasted as long as their first motorclycle ride.  But hey everything gets better with practice.

....

The best you know is the best you have ridden... this goes for bikes and women.
Common sense in not very common.

The first time I took mine in the road. I came to a stop light at the end of my lane. I was so nervous to get out on the main road for the first time.  As im waiting for the light to turn green two guys pulled up behind me.  If they didn't know I was new, they knew when I stalled her. haha.. anyways they passed me later and waived. It felt good like I was accepted.

Its around 68 today here in central PA.  I wish my bike was here and not 40 miles away in my parents garage.  :(

I have always been on bikes since 1969 when I was six.  Now that I sit and wait for the cancer to finish me off the only regret I have is that I may no longer be able to ride

Damn, shaZam!, man. that sucks.

GStwins should start like a nation Gs500f fund raiser drive "riding" marathon to support the fight for cancer.

I have to agree.   my time in the saddle is MY time, where nothing in the world matters,  and happiness is just a corner and twist of my wrist away.

The people you meet are some of the nicest folks on earth.  except the ones that give the finger when you wave.

crashing sucks, but its a learning experience, a chance to see what not to do next time for many of us.

In short, it is a feeling that is nearly unsurpassable and insanely calming.

i think most bikers are nice. but why do car drivers think other wise. they always trying to cut you off.

510

Here in California, drivers will cut you off all the time, yell at you, and possibly try to door you, just because it's not illegal to split lanes. The payoff is when I'm home a good half hour before that guy who cut me off got to his place. I'll be eating a sandwich and watching TV while he's probably still sitting in traffic  :icon_mrgreen:

Take good care of your gs and she just might last forever. Or at least until all the parts suppliers decide to stop making spare parts.
The Frogurt is also cursed

I love when someone cuts you off and decides to make innappropriate hand gestures, then you pull up next to them at a light and politely ask them if they're f%$king retarded or just genuine assholes.

which is why my bike is a GS.  cheap, naked, and I can slap it around without complaint.   :thumb:
