couple of cases of your favorite beer and lunch if any one can come over and help me with my bike.

I have been trying to fix my bike for a while but can not get it working right, it's something to do with the carbs,

and at this point i am lost, and would rather have help, and learn something then just sending it to a mechanic,

i have this whole week off so if any one in the san diego mesa area thinks they could help let me know.

thanks for your time

hey jony if yo ucan do a write up of what year bike and what the bike is doing when you start, run , or idil. then that would help us all out along with yourself....

jony_c

well right now it will not start up at all, something i did when i was working on it. and the reason i think it needs to be rebuilt, is because thats what i was told by a mechanic.

No ... I'll guarantee you a Srinath winter special $45 rejet/clean will work far better than a Srinath winter special $100 rebuild.
Rebuild is only needed if they leak. Especially from the float bowl, and only after you have tried my magic purple gasket maker. Do not ever ever put silly-cone instead, they will make your carbs get Madonna Boobs.
BTW, O rings and what not can be replaced without having to "rebuild". That whole rebuilding is over used and mis understood.
Since you didn't post any symptoms, I'll just say, 99% you dont need a "rebuild", clean and re adjust is what you need. I have heard Idiot mechanics say they cant do it without the bike. I'd say, dont ever bring me your bike, send me the carbs.
Clean and/or rejet seems to the answer to everything around here.
Cool.
Srinath.
