Rumours are spreading (and pics circulating) on the Web about a new entry in Suzuki's bottom range.

First rumours had it as a 125 cc, but a close look at the 2nd pic (right and above the "SUZUKI" logo) reveals the "249 cm3" marking.
Maybe it'll come in both displacements, who knows. :dunno_white:

Nice bike... I wouldn't be surprised if Suzuki released something to compete with the Ninja250. I'm no market analyst, but with gas prices rising it seems like people will stop caring about the ever increasing minimum displacement size of street bikes, in order to gain a nice looking little commuter with excellent mileage.

Can't wait to see how this pans out.

Cheers,

It might be for non-American markets, like how Honda sells the CBR 125 elsewhere.

That shoud be the the next GS500.  That thing would sell like hotcakes.

Who the hell came up with that saying?  Sell like hotcakes?? its quite odd

Wow,  I love my 600, but I would definitely consider getting one of those for around town.

Every zero you add to the tolerance adds a zero to the price.

If the product "fails" will the product liability insurance pay for the "failure" until it turns 18?

i never did understand why the smaller dispacement bikes didn't get brought over here in the states. i understand that some years ago we did get some 400's etc but nothing like that anymore. maybe the ins. companies will get tired of paying claims for morons who bought too big of a bike and actually push the manufacturers to bring smaller, more beginner friendly bikes back to the states. it'd be nice to have more variety to chose from. of course, this is from the point of view of a beginning rider who doesn't even own a bike.

Oh I would DEFINITELY go for that little cutie! The Ninja is a great little bike, but I'm just not fond of its looks.... This one's a beauty, though! :kiss3:

I personally wouldn't get it...  I ride on the highways a lot, and having a 250cc bike would make me uncomfortable traveling with other vehicles...

Yep although it is important to note in the 125cc and below catagory, bikes - as in with gears, cost a fortune, more than some 600's in the second hand market, scooters however are dirt cheap and plentiful.

Our 400 market is on the slump now as most imports have slowed, so 400 prices are set to rise so im holding onto mine to sell it in june time, when i get an unrestricted license :)
