Well after years I have finally bought my first bike. It is a 93 GS500E with 68000 miles. I picked it up for $500 !!!!!!!!!!! All stock with very little rash and runs nice. I have never rode a motorcycle but I am now learning. I was wanting to know basic performance upgrades and stuff to do....I know I want to change the exhaust but I just want to see if I can get a little input from you guys about brands and what ot to do so I dont have to learn the hard way. Any input about anything would be nice.

Welcome to the nut house ! The re jetting section should be helpful. How about some pictures of this long toothed gs ? Close ups of the chain/cogs and other moving bits would be cool. I'd like to see how the rear cog is doing considering the miles on it.

learn your ride-than how to ride-than when your comfy with riding and have atleast 1k under your belt than go ahead and upgrade. no sense in putting money in a bike than endup not liking it.

Here is the bike.....I like it. Sorry about the size of the pics im new at this.

So good gas helps....a lot! The gas that was in it was about 5 or 6 months old. But I went and put some gas treatment in there and some premium grade fuel and its a mojor change in the quality of the ride. I think it needs a good tune up and carb clean. Just need to learn how to do that.  haha
