I agree, the growl from a lunch box K&N RU-2970 was spectacular.

And they work!!! They let in so much more air into my bikes engine that it couldn't run past 6,000rpm, so rejetting is a must!!!  :icon_mrgreen:

ohgood

the stock airbox is restrictive.

k & n = more grunt
V & H = loud

together = obnoxiously so ;)

I have holes around the end of my muffler inside the end of it. Sounds like a hi po scooter. I also had a couple of questions,

   1. What size jetts do you use with the filters and pipe?

   2. If just a pipe do you need to jett it.

   3. I am mking mt own exaust ,will post pics soon as I get started under Super GS500.

   4. Does the 98 have that packing stuff?

I removed the baffle inside of the stock midpipe... It definetly helped!

With a drill hehe  Oh also just wondering has anyone tried using a set of headers and a slip-on.  Just wondering if there was anything out there that would work with my trs slip-on because i love the sound of my exhaust with the baffle removed now.

Rejet is pretty easy.  If you have a small mirror and some patience ( along with a good set of short screwdrivers) you can re-jet without yanking the carbs off.

There's got to be a couple dozen 'tutorials' on the subject buried in this forum, just search a little.
