battery wont stay charged...

alright so my battery wont stay charged and i forgot what part it is that keeps it charged.  is it the stator or what?  where could i find the part for cheaper than most places?

The first thing I would check is the electrolyte level - and top up if necessary.  I had a battery that went flakey on me recently.  Saw that the levels were all over the place, topped it up with some distilled water, gave it a good charge and its been a winner ever since.

its either the stator or rectifier.. am i right?  i used to work at stubbs cycles which is a known motorcycle sales dealership around the houston area. and the mechanic said it was either those 2..

I would suspect the battery before anything else........get it load tested at a tyre/exhaust kwik-fit type depot.

i dont think its the battery, cause i just bought another battery and its already drained. and the battery before that did the same thing
