Sooo, I need some of my PM's I've sent for a paypal dispute with modlife, since they never sent anything, or replied to pm's, emails from me, or paypal. Is it possible to retrieve sent PM's ? I don't see an option for it in the PM section.

Sorry for posting an ugly thread, but I tried everything else, and apparently he/she doesn't post anymore anyway, hasn't logged in since    February 17, 2008, 11:40:40 AM, and doesn't appear to want to actually do business. :(

I mean, $70 ? C'mon. :(

Click "Messages" at the top right of any of the BB pages.  When you get to the inbox, look to the far left, near the top.  Click "Outbox".  That should do it.

Four days with no reply isn't uncommon, I wouldn't get too worked up yet.  At two weeks I'd start to worry.  It may be he dropped it in the mail and took off for a vacation.   :dunno_white:
Every zero you add to the tolerance adds a zero to the price.

If the product "fails" will the product liability insurance pay for the "failure" until it turns 18?

ya, my outbox shows i only have one message in the 'outbox' from back in May 13, 2007, 08:22:04 PM. since then no others have been kept.

i'd like to think so, but there was a non-working tele number attached to one of his PM's also, which I should have checked first. :(

well, i've already got a clue where he/she lives... but $70 ain't worth it for the drive... and besides it's not been very long since i sent the money. <shrug> i'm just erring to the 'hope i get the money back side' instead of vengeance right now. :(

I don't think PayPal accepts dispute claims until at least a month has passed.

Only if they're in your Outbox.  :icon_confused:  I currently have 299 messages in my Outbox, dating back to 14 Mar 2005.

When you send a PM, there is a checkbox below the buttons labeled Save a copy in my outbox:

If that box is UNchecked by default, you can fix that.  Go to your profile, choose Personal Message Options, and check the box labeled Save a copy of each Personal Message in my outbox by default.

thanks kerry, ya i noticed that option when i was digging around. unfortunately it doesn't appear to be retro, so the old pm's must be gone. oh well, lessons learned. guess i felt 'safe' here.

Sure sorry to hear that! Especially on top of the troubles with your carbs, you really don't need the extra aggravation. You can do a dispute with PayPal but I'd agree, I think you need to wait a few more days, was it from your account or off a credit card? Because you can file a dispute with the cc co. too I believe. With PayPal, they are much more buyer friendly than seller friendly. So if nothing shows up they will likely give you your money back no problem. Honest sellers actually have a ton of trouble with PayPal because if a buyer says "I didn't get such and such" and files a complaint, and the seller doesn't have signature confirmations and stuff, they automatically give the money back to the buyer, EVEN IF THEY ARE LYING! So don't sweat it at this point, you shouldn't be out the money completely, you'll just have to wait awhile for a credit.

Good luck.
