Tried to ride an arcade cycle, crashed and burned

The "bike" leaned, but it was structured to "pull left, lean left".  Pushing had no effect. I thought this one might be good because it actually had pegs and a floating chassis, but noooo.....

I tried to counter-steer through the whole game and died.  Someone needs to build a racing game that works correctly.

i agree, that would be lots of fun. Throw some track in there, like real motogp tracks mmmmmmm.....
Happyness is like peeing you pants.  Everyone can see it but only you can feel its warmth.

Looks like you're expecting a simulator.  These games are targeted for children that wouldn't understand anything about motorcycle physics.
However the game "motoGP" is pretty realistic as far as racing physics

Yeah, I knew going into it that it wasn't going to countersteer but I THOUGHT my brain could overcome that since the whole thing leaned.

But, instinct took over.  I couldn't get around a single corner without crashing.

Really makes me wonder about the stunt guys who ride with crossed arms.  That has got to be impossible, done with photoshop  :bs:  :bs:

Yep, I wont play those games because they mess with my head too much. Have you ever played the Daytona racing game, and then hopped in your car and found yourself doing 80 on a residential street?
The motorcycle is no longer the hobby, the skill has become the hobby.

Power does not compare to skill.  What good is power without the skill to use it?

good judgement trumps good skills every time.

Aye, MotoGP 3 (ps2) is a blast. The great thing is analog control of throttle and brakes, as well as rider weight position. Not only can you control how much you "twist" the throttle and how much pressure is applied to each brake, you can also shift rider weight left/right as well as forward/backward. The traction physics seem to be really accurate. Granted though, i think you have to love videogames first to really appreciate how well done the controls are.
