One of its diaphragms looks like sheite ... the carbs still are filthy and I am too cheap to buy carb cleaner. Hey ... gasoline will work ... just give it time.
Mine is red frame and black fairing.
B6's bolt on mods are literally limitless ... seca is less than that. Stock B6's run waaaaay better IMHO - 4 valve against 2 = no contest.
However, yamaha powdercoated their frames a lot better than suzuki did. Yammie also chose better colors IMHO.
Most body bits yammie trumps suzi.
Mine also needs some killer plastic welding.
Cool.

send the carbs to me...i'll put them in the hotbath for a few hours and they'll come out super-spiffy.

The Buddha

OK what is hot bath ??? I dont want the rubber and plastic to get screwed ...
Cool.

nah...comes to stuff like that i make sure all the "soft" parts are off before the dip.  It's basically being soaked in heated parts cleaner.  I had to do this with my CX500's carbs because there was so my crystallized fuel in them it was unreal.

The Buddha

Ha ha ... I cannot get the floats off ... so there ... the pin is stuck in with caked up fuel.
This weekend its getting on the road ... I am sick of it ...
Cool.

you really need a lead/brass tooth vice to hold the carbs still, then you need to tap the pin out with a punch...very very lightly.  You have to be really, really careful because those carbs are notorious for having the inner castings like the float hinge and stuff break off under any kind of stress.

The Buddha

I have broke none of the bolts that hold in the emulsion tube already ... so you're preaching to the converted. I aint comming 10 feet of this thing with anything harder than a flower ...
BTW ... my mexican mechanic has this habit of saying profound things while sounding naiive and very mexican ...
I was trying to remove a steering stem and I took it to him ... I explained to him to press it out  and I said I tried hitting it with a rubber mallet ... He already knows I am super gentle and dont use force even if absolutely neccesary ... he said, "hit it with rubber mallet ... why ... you didn't hit it with a flower"
Cool.

Seca is up and on the road, and like I guessed, no off idle stumble. 0-4K clean, takes off like a bike twice its displacement. Of course over 4k its bog city ... now I am also betting I'll have it ironed out by noon tommorow. There is a bet on with some yokels, some very slack jawed, ignorant, stupid and naive yokels who were looking for a road bike. Of course luck is on their side, I got rain tonight ... tommorow morning from 10-10:15 its gonna be a race against the clock while I beat the noon deadline. Gonna be a rough 15 mins.
Cool.

I can swing the cat litter, but I'm a little tight on cash this week.
Every zero you add to the tolerance adds a zero to the price.

If the product "fails" will the product liability insurance pay for the "failure" until it turns 18?

Hey ... just the bike without the extra rash is worth that ... the rash makes it priceless. BTW, the look on my neighbors face after that a$$hole crashed and lay there looking dead, and I get it picked up and 5 mins of cops and circus later, I ride it home, totally blew them away. I also rode it the very next day. The Idiot's father and wife were trying to say somehting was wrong with the bike ... and I stopped them in their tracks.
Yea, spc just the rash, prevents me from selling it to you for the $5 and VW gof ... else, totally.
See, a bike is good, a bike that has just been crashed, the rider goes away in an ambulance, and it gets up and rides away ... that is priceless.
Cool.

I am serious though ... in 2-3 days it can be undistinguishable from the pre crash look.  :cookoo:
So, its definetly not going down in $$ ... $2K is the bottom (10% off for GStwinners looking to ditch the clan)
Cool.

You didn't have the "You dump it you Buy it." clause in effect?

When the 2nd Amendment is lost, the rest will soon follow.

Yeah that was me.    One of my rides

The Buddha

Yea I did, but you know that verbal crap is just BS when the person that says it isn't worth the dirt on the road he fell and knocked his head on, and worse, he leaves in an ambulance. And personally if he wasn't going to leave in an ambulance, I'd ahve kicked him till he would have had to.
Cool.
