Hey guys, Once the weather starts getting a little warming here I want to paint the swing arm and a few other parts of my '96 (Fork tubes, wheels, headlight, etc.) I was just wondering if anyone has found a good spray can color that matches the '96 frame color. Heres a picture courtesy of the wiki.

You lucky duck, you.  :icon_rolleyes:  As far as I know, '96 was the only model year to have that particular frame color.  Both the red and the black bikes that year had the same frame color.  (See an example of the black version on [my home page].)

I checked the [Color Rite website], but they only list the main red and black colors, and not the frame color.  (They list the standard silver frame color for most model years after '96.... )

What you may want to do is email them at sales@colorrite.com and ask if they know (and have) the color ... and if they would be willing to list it in the Motorcycle color finder area on their site.

What I've never been able to figure out is why they made the swingarm silver.

Not that I'm complaining...   :)
Every zero you add to the tolerance adds a zero to the price.

If the product "fails" will the product liability insurance pay for the "failure" until it turns 18?

Thanks, Kerry. I'll shoot them an email and see what they have to say.

I plan on painting the swing arm to match the rest of the frame (charcoal or whatever they call it), as well as my new rear wheel, front forks, and possibly a few other parts. That red bike isn't mine by the way, mine is black.

Oh, and I almost forgot. I found a wheel coating color made by Dupli-Color that looks like it may be close. Here's the link  http://www.duplicolor.com/products/wheel.html

It's the graphite (HWP102). I might pick up a can this weekend, since it's pretty cheap. As well as some gray primer and test that on a spare piece of metal.  If that looks bad then hopefully Color Rite can come through for me.
