I need to remove the front sprocket and I can't seem to figure out how to remove the cover with the cable going to it.  Any ideas???

Should be as simple as removing 4 or 5 bolts around the cover and it should come off.I can't remember if the clutch cable has to be removed from the cover. It maybe stuck to the engine case.

Remove the shift lever first and then the 5 small bolts holding cover on.  Should be 8 mm socket for cover bolts, 10 mm for shift lever pinch bolt.  I never remove the clutch cable, the cover can just hang there on the cable while you change the sprocket.
407,400 miles in 30 years for 13,580 miles/year average.  Started riding 7/21/84 and hung up helmet 8/31/14.

Thanks for the help.  The old sprocket didn't have the two holes the new one did but everything installed and worked fine.

Yea, I kinda sorta forgot about the shift lever. It's been almost a year since I been in there.Just relying on poor memory.
