I may be able to trade my gixxer on a titled 2001 Duc 750ss trackbike.  I would obviously need to work out some sort of lighting arrangement, the guy just wants something he can go ahead and  ride.............without having to either get new fairings or figure out a custom install.....  whadaya think??

He's supposed to be sending me some more, the ones I have won't upload to PB for some reason.  It's in pretty much great shape, track plastics all around Termi exhaust, brembo brakes.

Did you get the gix sorted out?I lost track of your thread about it.Sounds like a good trade.In SC you only need head,tail,brake lights.If you have signals they have to work or you get pulled by the A (hole) teem. 

Once I get some eye candy I'll be able to throw my opinion in, if it means anything...

That was actually what I was thinking.....   Figured I'd just find an SV headlight and slap it on there.  Not that bad-ass, aside from the whole Italian factor, it only pumps like 63hp stock so I'm probably not even looking at 70.  I'm willing to ditch 30hp to ride a Duc though

Hey, it may be down (closer to) 45whp, 5ft/lbs, one gear, and one gallon but it weighs forty more pounds and has a bigger rear rotor.

ehhh, it's only 404 dry, that's about 20 more than the gix.  But it's a twin and sexy as all hell. plus the stock suspension is better

toss the suspension on a GS or simuliar twin.

One of the first things i was gonna say , was wack a Sv headlight on it , that looks like it was made to be naked ...

is it a desmodromic valvetrain? , hehe those things are fun to work on. anyhoo could always put an sv upper fairing on the bike and call it a Duzuki or a sucati , heh after all i did have a yamahonkawazuki ( my 97 500e)

Yeah, it's a desmo valve train, 749cc air cooled, fuel injected.

The guy actually has the stock headlights, just not the stock upper
He also has a carbon exhaust and the stock exhaust system, rear wheel stand and a new timing belt that are included.

I was figuring I could throw an SV light and some of those universal LED strip tail lights on it and call it good.  If I was going to spend the time to re-fair it in street threads I would probably try to put 748 plastics on it.

Don't just get an sv light or you'll be like every other monster on the road.  Throw on a little projector hid or something thats different from the normal duc crowd.  There are so many options for lighting it'll make your head spin.  Just make it original.

teh desmo has no redline so to speak 

While knowing that I won't be able to kill it by redlining it is nice, there is really no need as power pretty much sucks past about 9-9.5k on most of the lower end Desmo twins.
