My winter build was going good until...I heard about 5.oo gal gasoline by fall.I haven't put my tank back on yet or changed out my pipe that I have off for cleanning and changing the muffler..So I can change her back pretty easy.......
SOoo...I've now decided to stick with a basically stock set up.I have already put in #40 pilots and have one washer under the needles.I'm going to pull the 147.5 main jets.

My bike is a 1994 model..

Stock is 122.5 of course...but what size of mains should I go with 125's or lower?  I'm wanting it a little richer according to Pablo's site.

I'm going to use my stock pipe and muffler. And keep the #40 pilots.I'm going to use the stock airbox and a Unifilter that's foam.Do I even need the one washer per needle? And how many turns on the bottom mixture screws? What say you???? :dunno_white: Thank's Ronin

Well with E85....would the #125main and one washer with 3turns be kosher? ;)

$5 for fuel?  Be a man and walk it off.  It'll still only cost you $20 to fill up and you'll only have to do it once a week.  I pay more a month in soda.

I found this by Scratch:

'94
San Jose/300' above
Stock airbox with Unifilter foam filter
Stock exhaust
40 non-bleeder type pilot jets, 125 large round mains
2.75 3 turns out on the mix screws, floats set to .5inch.
One 0.48mm washer Removed washers in search of better fuel economy; no change in performance.
Warmup time is about the same, but low-end throttle response is better, and low-end power delivery is smoother (even before a Bob Broussard advanced ignition rotor).  Doesn't hesitate at steady mid-range throttle settings (cruising at 50-60mph).
Currently averaging 57mpg.

Correct jetting to run in your local climate wont be a big hurt to your gas mileage. Neither will the way lean jetting help all that much. Effectively a good running bike will call the devil out in your right hand, and that will be the $$$.
Cool.

I'm following up with what Scratch said. I've got an almost identical set-up, stock airbox, filter, and exhaust, 40pilot 125 main, 1 washer, 3 turns. Runs better than stock, especially in the low-end and midrange. No documented change in mileage. Totally recommended :thumb:
