The BBQ grill paint works OK, and lasts a couple of years. I did the exhaust on my bike last summer, and plan on redoing them again this summer. I figure it isn't really that much work, and pulling the exhaust once a year will help keep the header bolts from getting rusted on so badly.

Common sense in not very common.

Would engine enamel work for the exhaust. I know it looks pretty descent on my dual exhaust on my sunfire GT. But, not sure if the moto gets any hotter than a car's.

It will need to be rated for at least 600F continous.

Chrome doesn't sound too bad - I'd be OK with the bluing myself, but not everyone likes the look. Probably the best option for a money-is-no-object restoration would be Jet Hot or a similar ceramic coating, but it's not cheap. If I were being cheap, which I frequently do, I'd probably go the BBQ grill paint option.

i'm thinking of doing a white / red / black paint job, so it looks like i just got through with a 187 mph run on adamo drive and the headers are hawt as fawk . :D :D :D
