Although some may caution against wheelies strongly, I say try everything once. I have looked at older posts and have the technique down. I have no problem getting the front end off the ground by reving and letting out the clutch in first gear. However, I cant keep the wheel up very long. Any suggestions? I would like to able to ride it on a straightaway.

Also, I always see people on sport bikes pulling them at higher speeds in higher gears. Is this possible on the GS? If so, how?

balance is the only way to keep the front wheel off the ground for more than a few seconds.

and as far as wheeling in higher gears and at higher speeds...  the simple answer is NO.  The gs just doesn't have the horse power/torque to pull wheelies at higher speeds.

You have to really adjust the gearing by changing your sprockets.

try 1 tooth down in the front, or 1 up in the back, although the front sprocket is by far cheaper and less time consuming to install

1 down front and 1 up rear wont even come close,  the GS doesnt make the Power needed for 50mph motor ups, even then most bikes that do, are geared so they top out at 100mph in 6th, i knew one GS that would motor up in 3rd, the engine did NOT last long and needed a very large battery to start. the person isnt around for me to get engine specs from either or i would have shared them

YES and No

you wont get the speed that a sport bike has, they have dubble the HP and torque of the GS

if you want to pull it up at around 40 to 50 MPH this is what you'll need to do  

lol.......  -1 +20 thats how you do it and a new chain that means 4 gear is like 6th gear
