I told the SV not to molest the GS in my absence:

It's going to be another interesting summer.   :)

The GS isn't going anywhere.  I love it too much.   :thumb:

That SV has a little bit of history, see this thread:

I was talking with Nate and mentioned GStwins.  The first words out of his mouth were "Do you know Onlypastrana199?"  I said "Nooo!  Can't be, can it?"  It went downhill from there.   :icon_mrgreen:

Suffice it to say, we know a lot of the same people and must have talked for an hour and a half.  We finally had to break it up or he'd be late for work.

Just goes to show, it's a small world after all.

Nate was very sad to see his bike go, but the SV has a good home with the GS.  This GS isn't going anywhere, but will eventually be turned into a track bike.   :thumb:

I was reading about the bike in the for sale ad. Does it still have the problems he was talking about? Something about bad cam chain tensioners....

What kind of Buell are those headlights off of?

Not sure what the problem is yet, I haven't had the time to fiddle with it.  About all I did was fill up the tank and confirm that it won't start.

I'm supposed to ride with an EX250 guy today as he wants to get out but has a learner's permit.  I told him that was fine, but we'd be stopping by my unit to play with the SV too.  He's already asked to ride it.

I'll see if I can get a part number off the headlights.

I'm making a rare appearance to say congrats GeeP. This bike is near and dear to my heart and it makes me happy that someone I know and trust has her. You've got a lil piece of Rich with you. Enjoy her and I hope you get her running soon!

Thanks Lissa, she's in good hands.

We'll have to meet up again once I get her running, as long as you let me buy lunch this time!  I'm going to make a few changes to make her more comfortable for me, but overall I think I'm going to leave things as-is.  I like the German street fighter look, especially after the stares I got trailering it back from Binghamton.

I should have her running shortly, I think.  I'm pretty positive I'm dealing with a fuel delivery or sensor problem now, I'll know more after I fiddle tonight.  I'm looking forward to this summer, just like when I first got my GS.   :)

Not sure what kind of mirrors I'm going to put on yet, probably something similar to what is on my GS.  I'm not too much into bar end mirrors, but I may warm up to the idea.

Yeah, but my valves always sound like they're about to explode :flipoff: and they only have to be serviced every other $50 do-it-yourself oil change :flipoff: :icon_rolleyes:

My baby Duc may be a maintenance hog but she's mine and I love her, especially when all the little squids on Gixxers drool over her........until all the Harley guys push em out of the way to compliment me on having a crotch rocket that doesn't sound like a turbo'ed honda accord.
