The screens are there because, with the battery and stuff all back under the seat, I wanted it somewhat a little more hidden.  From that angle it's easy to see through but from eye level it's a little less revealing.

i was wondering about the exhaust as well, but didnt want to waste your time, well since i did, lol, comments on the exhaust? i.e. what it was made of , loudness, etc?

I don't mind questions about the exhaust...I actually posted this to specifically show off the exhaust...or, more so, to show off something specific about the exhaust.  To elaborate...

I used stainless downpipes from a Kerker setup, but the mids and mufflers are mild.  The mufflers I made with perforated 1.625" cores, 4" 16g tubing for the bodies, and 4" round fence post caps.  It's not very loud...I can run the bike in the drive and garage without waking up the missus or waking the neighbors, but it lets people know I'm coming when I start floating valves.

I've got a little rash at the base of each can now, but they're high mounts so if I run a line along the length of the can there's a problem.

honestly mak, no offense intended, but i thought the cans were small "cherry bombs" ie glass pack car mufflers, but id like to hear it running with those on. any chance of that?

I actually did start out with some cherry-bomb style mufflers...but someone bought that exhaust.  The second exhaust was made from scraps I had laying around...pretty much the same result only I think these sound a bit deeper (about half a liter bigger in volume each).

The next exhaust, though, will be built about the same way but with carbon fiber sleeves and stainless packing.  I can't wait to do that.  I want to make the tubing and caps out of titanium and I'm going to run it all through a single can (dual inlet, dual outlet).  It won't have the same sound, really, but it'll all be a lot lighter.  Power output is limited from the 500, and gearing is ultimately the biggest limiting factor of the bike and, to date, that's un-alterable without extensive work...so it's basically a big focus on handling.

Here's a clip with the glass-packs...liike I said, basically the same sound...the camera can't pick up the difference.

Hey mak, I LIKE it; your Honda-Guzzi looks more like a Euro-bike / cafe racer now (OK, so that remark makes me Master of the Obvious). Last time I rode one was in 1987; that was the same day I helped a friend graft the front end from a 1982 CB750F onto his 1978 CX, which gave him better forks and dual-disc brakes.

Honda detailing is always interesting; that finned brake drum, for example. Back in the day, I had to explain that to a LOT of people, who didn't have a clue as to why that would be an improvement... BTW, Is that the 500 or 650 engine?
