Surface paint on my reflectors got chipped and crumbled, for now painted it with rattle can silver paint  :icon_confused:

Couldn't find anything on the web that matches original reflective coat so ....

Does anyone have any tips/methods/suggestions on how to restore reflective paint ?   :dunno_white:

No one ever dealt with this ?

The only option would be nickel/chrome plating on the plastic reflector, but as I gather it's expensive and I like DIY solutions anyways ( i.e. piss poor student  :icon_rolleyes: )

So?

Hmmm, I don't think anyone has to tell you the truth. You might be better off getting a new headlight by the sound of it.
Probably save money and time.

OK the silver paint got cooked as expected :

I decided to fix the crappy TCP fairings ,so original lights that bike came with have to stay for now.

Now I'm thinking to replace them with Dominator replacement inserts, they are relatively cheap at ~32 US $ per 1
and just integrate them into the fairing stays somehow, will see...

BTW that's my Ducati 916 there in the background  8)

Done for now , repainted with thinner coat of silver not as bright as original but will do till dominators,

plastic welded the cracked TCP fairing with good result ,better than expected ,using soldering iron and some ABS  plastic from old pc  :icon_mrgreen:

You might be better off ditching the fairing all together. Doesn't really "fit" the bike. Just my style opinion. I do it out of love.  ;)

Did you ever have a chemistry set as a kid?

This is much more fun:

or

Might as well chrome some other stuff on the bike while you're at it.   :)

All the parts will have to be media blasted and buffed to a shine before plating.  There may be a local shop that will do this.  For that matter, look for a local plating shop.  They may be willing to dunk yours with a run of similar materials.
Every zero you add to the tolerance adds a zero to the price.

If the product "fails" will the product liability insurance pay for the "failure" until it turns 18?

Your bike looks gorgeous Anti , I love naked bikes and plan on going that route with Dominators

I've had the whole TCP fairing on my bike and gradually the plastics came off the bike one by one
It is ugly fairing IMO and of poor quality

Thanks GeeP that's another future project ,well maybe  :icon_rolleyes:
